Somewhere in the distant north is an empire ruled by an immortal Empress whose parents conquered the land past Falhaer and founded the five cities, leaving them to be ruled by a King (who will later be overthrown, naturally).

- 7911 YE. The Emperor returns to his capital, leaving a deputy king to rule the Five Cities.
